Kipkay - 245mw Laser Hack
Ah, Kipkay. I love the stuff this guy comes up with, and this one doesn't disappoint.
This is instructions of how to turn an old DVD burner, a small 2xAA maglite, and a laser assembly into a very strong laser.
This is of course dangerous, so... don't be stupid with it.

Hehe, I bought an 18X DVD burner at Fry's (with rebate it was about $30 I think)and ripped out the carriage assembly. Haven't gotten around to ripping the laser diodes out of the assembly yet.
